Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Expands Prenatal Care with Remote Monitoring
A new program in rural Missouri uses Nuvo’s INVU™ technology to improve access to pregnancy monitoring for high-risk patients.
Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) in Missouri has launched an innovative remote pregnancy monitoring program using Nuvo’s INVU™ wearable platform. The initiative aims to improve access to prenatal care for women in rural communities by enabling expectant mothers to complete key monitoring sessions from the comfort of their homes
For many rural patients, regular prenatal testing can be difficult due to long travel distances, transportation barriers, and scheduling challenges. With INVU™, patients can perform bi-weekly monitoring sessions at home while securely sharing maternal and fetal health data with their care team in real time
The program is particularly significant in a region where maternal health challenges are acute. Missouri has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the United States, and at GVMH about 63% of pregnancies are considered high-risk far above the national average. By enabling more consistent monitoring and reducing barriers to care, the initiative aims to improve outcomes for both mothers and babies.
Supported by a Rural Citizens Access to Telehealth grant, the program reflects GVMH’s commitment to delivering patient-centered solutions and bringing advanced maternal care closer to the communities it serves.
