Nuvo’s newly introduced AI-ready pregnancy dataset has attracted attention across several healthcare and femtech media outlets. Built from real-world use of Nuvo’s FDA-cleared INVU™ remote pregnancy monitoring wearable, the dataset includes more than 350,000 minutes of monitoring collected across over 25,000 monitoring sessions conducted both at home and in clinical settings.
The dataset integrates synchronized physiological signals from both mother and fetus, including fetal electrocardiography (fECG), fetal phonocardiography (fPCG), maternal ECG (mECG), maternal phonocardiography (mPCG), motion data, and structured pregnancy information. By capturing these signals simultaneously and repeatedly throughout pregnancy, the dataset provides a rich longitudinal view of maternal and fetal physiology.
According to the coverage, this large-scale dataset can support the development of artificial intelligence models capable of identifying patterns in maternal and fetal health. Such insights may help researchers and clinicians explore earlier indicators of pregnancy complications, improve monitoring accuracy, and advance more continuous and data-driven prenatal care.
The dataset was generated through regulated clinical use of the INVU™ platform, which already supports FDA-cleared AI-powered Non-Stress Tests (NSTs) measuring fetal and maternal heart rate and uterine activity. With approval from an independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) to conduct retrospective analysis of de-identified data, the dataset also opens new opportunities for research collaborations and innovation in maternal-fetal health.
